Hajj is the pillar of Islam
Muslims must go on Hajj at least once if they are physically and financially able to do so. The Hajj forgives all of our past sins and gives us a chance to start over with a stronger faith. Let’s learn about hajj through online Quran classes for kids in UK.
As we all know, the Hajj season is coming, and millions of Muslims are going to Makah and other holy places to answer Allah’s call to His House (Ka’ba). The Hajj was first started by Prophet Ibrahim (AS), then continued by the last Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Allah SWT made Hajj (Pilgrimage) one of the 5 pillars of Islam because it took so many miles. This shows how important it is. Hajj takes place in the last month, which is called Zilhajj. There are set days for Hajj. Most of the time, the Quran and hadith talk about how important the Hajj is.
Allah (SWT) has talked about the importance of Hajj in Islam in many different ways. But for Muslims to go on Hajj in the month of Zilhajj, they need to have enough money and a way to pay for it.
What are the five most important truths?
They are the open call (shahada), the prayer (salat), the charity (zakat), the fast (sawm), and the journey (Hajj).
The Hajj is a trip to the Kaaba, which is in the holy city of Makah in Saudi Arabia. The Kaa’ba is called “Bait Ullah” because it is “the House of Allah.” This is a holy place because the Prophet Ibrahim built it to worship Allah Almighty, as Allah Almighty had told him to do (SWT).
Allah rewarded Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) by making the House a part of Himself, which is a way of saying that He honored it, and by making it the place that all Muslims face when they pray the Salah. Hajj is considered one of the most important things a Muslim can do in his life. Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated:
Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was asked the best thing to do.
He said (SAW),
Believe in Allah and His messenger.
He (SAW) was asked, and then what? He said (PBUH),
Jihad, for Allah’s sake.
He (SAW) was then asked, “Then what?” He said (PBUH),
A universal Hajj.
Allah (SWT) has promised that He will forgive all of His people’s sins during Hajj. This is one of the most beautiful and best gifts and rewards He can give. This is the most a Muslim can hope for from Allah SWT and what they ask for during prayers and supplications. During the Hajj rituals, Allah Almighty promised to ensure that the Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) Ummah gets what it wants. Our Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:
What are the five most important reasons to trust Islam?
The five main things that give people confidence:
Shahadah – the main mainstay of Islam
Salah is another important part of Islam.
Zakat: the third way to help
Sawm is the fourth support point.
The fifth point of support is Hajj.
If a person does Hajj only for Allah (God) and doesn’t have relations with his spouse during Hajj and doesn’t do bad things or sin, he will return from Hajj as if he were born again
The Hajj is a great way for Muslims all over the world to come together as one brotherhood. Every year, more than a million Muslims from all over the world come together for the Hajj
People from different cultures, races, and backgrounds can worship their one Lord, Allah Almighty, together because they are all related through Islam. The Hajj is a pilgrimage that shows how much people believe in the harmony of Allah Almighty. During the pilgrimage, everyone obeys and worships God, who is the most powerful.
In a nutshell, the Hajj (pilgrimage) is the fifth pillar of Islam. It is a way to wash away our sins; in return, Allah gives us great rewards (SWT). Performing Hajj with the pure intention to focus on only Allah Almighty is one of the greatest things a Muslim can do, and Allah SWT always does it. May Allah give us all the chance to go on the Hajj at least once in our lives? Ameen
