How to Prep For a Day of Fishing

Warm weather is here again. That means it’s time to take one of your favorite Blackfin Boats out on the water and enjoy leisurely days of fishing. But you need to properly prepare to do that … otherwise you could come back with a lot more than just some fish.
Protect Yourself Against the Sun
This is the first thing you need to consider. You are going to be sitting out in the sun for a long time. That gives it plenty of time to possibly burn your skin. You need to have the proper protection.
The first layer is sunscreen. Apply it to all areas that are going to be exposed – even your ears. Next, wear clothes that can also protect you from the sun. A hat without those breathable holes is good. Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes. Especially if they are blue.
Bring a Cooler For Food and Drinks
It’s important to have a good supply of food and drinks for your time out on the water. You want to have something for everyone – water, alcohol (for those who can), soda. Food can include sandwiches, chips, and anything else that people want.
Other Items
There are various things that you may or may not need, but could be good to have. If you have members of your party who can get seasick, bring seasickness pills with you. Bug spray is good if you are in certain areas, like a lake. A First Aid kit is good in case anyone gets hurt.
Those are just some of the basic things for you to bring with you on your excursions. If you have those, then you can focus on having a good time fishing.
